About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for you to join the Adult Social Care Team at Hammersmith & Fulham Council, working closely with residents and their families to develop day opportunities for adults with complex autism and to support them in living a great life in their local community. You would be part of a new project working closely with young people's parent/carers to develop person centered programmes of activities, in part based at the Ashchurch Centre in Shepherds Bush, and in part out and about in the community. 


We are looking for individuals who are passionate about autism and co-production, have experience and knowledge to bring, and who will help us grow this pilot to support more adults with complex autism as they transition out of education.


The Independent Living Workers (ILW’s) will work with adults and their parent/carers to develop a range of leisure, cultural, lifelong learning, employment, and social activities which meet each adult's needs, aspirations, and skills. The ILW's will also ensure that each resident’s welfare is paramount and that protocols are adhered to (including safeguarding, risk assessment, and health and safety).
