Nursery: Bright Horizons Barley Barn Sawbridgeworth Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary: from £26,600 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Location: Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire, CM21

We are looking for a full time, Level 3 qualified Room Leader to join our Bright Horizons Barley Barn Sawbridgeworth Nursery.

The nursery is Ofsted rated “Outstanding" and situated Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire and is only a 10 minute walk from the station.

We are in a rural area with unique shops, Bakers and café’s and have a long service staff team who are friendly and willing to support, with lots of training available to further your career.

What you’ll be doing

Lead, mentor and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and education

Ensure the learning environment provides consistent stimulation and engaging activities for the children, across both the indoor and outdoor areas

Deliver and plan rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, to help all children to develop and meet their individual milestones

Develop and maintain strong partnerships with colleagues, parents and/or carers, as well as other professionals, to meet the individual needs of each child

Promote and ensure child welfare, protection, health and safety and safeguarding

Work with colleagues to maintain a positive, happy and safe environment

What we’re looking for

Full and Relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification (essential)

Previous experience working within an Early Years setting - ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator or similar

Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage

Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and the wider legislative requirements for working with children

Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with both colleagues and parents

Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
