Washington, United Kingdom Northumbrian Water Full time

About the role

We are looking for a Network Performance Analyst to join the Wastewater Performance Team to support us in maximising our Environmental Performance ensuring the effective operation and maintenance of the wastewater network (including sewage treatment works and pumping stations). You’ll manage and respond to alerts and work with regulatory data to ensure compliance with permits and accurate environmental reporting. You will work closely with the operational teams and contractors to ensure high levels of operability for the Sewer Level Monitoring assets. This role directly supports our work to reduce pollution incidents and spills to the environment.

The role will require you to have first class data analysis and reporting skills to support team leaders and managers to make effective business decisions, identify areas for improvement and maximise sewerage network and treatment performance.

You will manage maintenance requests and alarms to ensure that maintenance of our SLM and Regional Telemetry assets is carried out in a timely manner and that crew resource is used efficiently. Good communication with colleagues in Technical Support and Wastewater Operations will enhance the attainment of operability.

You will need to produce timely and accurate reporting and be able to present the data to various business stakeholders. You will also be innovative as you look for improvements to enhance current processes.

About you

We’d really like to hear from you if you are genuinely committed to improving our environmental performance.

We’re looking for the successful candidate to have knowledge and experience of sewerage networks / treatment along with excellent customer service skills. Knowledge and understanding of regulatory frameworks is desirable but not essential and you should have experience of Quality, Environmental and Health and Safety procedures.

You’ll have proven experience of being a strong team player, involving and supporting others in problem-solving and decision-making processes, along with effective relationship management and networking ability (across all areas of the business and with external stakeholders).

We’re looking for you to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with highly developed literacy, numeracy and problem-solving skills. You will be motivated to embrace innovation and to look for and highlight potential improvements in ways of working.

This role has also been defined as a safety or security critical role and as a condition of a formal offer of employment you’ll be required to undergo a drug and alcohol test.

Prospective employees and agency workers in defined safety and security critical roles will be required to undertake a drug and alcohol test after the job offer has been made. This will be prior to or within four weeks of their start date.

Prospective employees and agency workers who fail a pre-employment urine drug screen will have their sample analysed by the Company appointed laboratory as a matter of course. Failing a pre-employment drugs or alcohol test may lead to the job offer being revoked

Please note interviews will be held 21st and 24th June
