**PIA Cabling Supervisor**

My client, United Living, a Build Partner to CityFibre carry out Fixed Line Telecoms providing a construction of networks including cabling, splicing and testing on networks.

They are recruiting for a PIA/Cabling Supervisor to be responsible for the day-to-day Supervision of the PIA, cabling, splicing, overhead and testing teams on the fixed line telecoms.

The individual will have responsibility for site management, ensuring the clients requirements are met whilst working in line with the company health & safety, quality and customer satisfaction.

**Responsibilities**

Management of construction activities:

- Ensuring a safe site set up in accordance with NRSWA regulations
- Ensuring all operatives can produce relevant qualifications if asked
- Ensuring all SSRAMS are completed to a high standard
- Ensure all gangs have the relevant documents to work safely such as safe digs etc
- Ensuring any work that will positively / negatively affect our programme are communicated to the program manager and delivery manager as soon as possible so work can be moved to suit
- Problem solving on site, thinking outside of the box and ensuring work is completed on time
- Driving the teams daily on performance to ensure targets are hit for each gang, dealing with gangs' performance appropriately when targets are not hit via investigation / justifications
- Making sure all stores and tooling required for the job is either ordered or asked for via management

Management of Site Personnel:

- Recruitment
- Disciplinary
- Rota planning

**Criteria / Qualifications**
- Understanding of the installation of City Fibre network
- NRSWA (Supervisors)
- Supervisory Management training
- IOSH / SMSTS
- Extensive experience of working on telecommunications
- Full UK driving license
- Experience of managing contractors (advantageous)
