Role Description

Responsible for supporting the annual planning and production of the Group’s ICAAP, Recovery Plan and Resolution Pack Input into the Group’s ILAAP process Support the facilitation of relevant workshops and business lines / risk / finance engagement to enable the inputs to the relevant documents to be produced. Help to shape the technical / methodological approaches to these documents Ensure a robust audit trail to evidence the thinking and inputs to discussions and workshop outcomes exists to a level which will stand scrutiny to external audit Work with Risk and Finance teams on Stress Testing planning required to support the prudential documents and ensure stress testing approach is holistic to capture the needs of the various prudential documents, including the ICAAP and Recovery Plan Responsible for supporting the production of the prudential documents for approval through the various approval forums (EXCO, BRC, Board) Support the development of the team’s capital planning and optimisation capability Work with the Head of Prudential regulation to maintain the strong and open relationship with have with our prudential regulators Horizon Scanning – ensuring that all regulatory changes which impact the Enterprise Risk documents are identified with any impact on future document production understood and planned for

Role Requirements

Relevant & recent experience of ICAAP / Recovery Plan (drafting, preparation or detailed review and challenge). For example, key ICAAP / Recovery Plan roles within a bank 1st or 2nd line, consultancy firm or regulator Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders across the Bank Strong project management skills Pragmatic and commercially minded ideally with prior experience of hands-on responsibility for regulatory documents including ICAAP and their maintenance and production Highly numerate and analytical with capacity to reach logical, well balanced, actionable conclusions Articulate, engaging, persuasive, open minded and a team player Gravitas and presence with the ability to engender the confidence of senior management within the Bank including Executive and Board Experience interacting with regulators, particularly as part of C-SREP and L-SREP reviews Understanding of SME / specialist banking is beneficial but not essential
