We have a fantastic opportunity for aLead Document Controller to join us ona permanent basis working on a UK offshore windfarm project. TheLead Document Controller will be responsible for efficient andaccurate management of documents on the offshore wind project andprovide support to the wider project team for document controlrelated matters and project reporting.

The rolewill also involve shaping best practices and being the subjectmatter expert for Corio. The successful candidate will haveexperience of working in equivalent roles within complexinfrastructure projects alongside expert knowledge of EDMS andsharepointsoftwares.

Responsibilities andAccountabilities

  • Manageand maintain the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS) forthe project and associated process / proceduraldocuments.
  • Effectively manage the datacontained within the EDMS and ensure that information is easilyaccessible to the project team.
  • Appropriatelyprocess and store project documentation within internal serverand/or EDMS.
  • Control security and access on theproject within the EDMS and provide access to project team membersas necessary.
  • Provide basic training to thewider project team on the use of the EDMS (for example as part ofthe induction for new starters to theproject).
  • Formally issue documentation to thirdparties and stakeholders.
  • Work effectively withsuppliers consultants and other external parties to ensure thatinformation is distributed and managedcorrectly.
  • Perform basic quality checks on alldocuments for compliance with company procedures and flag issueswhere needed prior to issue or formal acknowledgment ofreceipt.
  • Closely monitor the projectdeliverables list and ensure that the project team are working tothe correct procedures and templates.
  • Maintaingood working relationship with the Project Team in order toeffectively deliver projects using the EDMS and undertakereasonable management instructions.
  • Assist withthe collation and preparation of project reporting on a monthly andad hoc basis.

SkillsandExperience

  • Location:Hybrid working Edinburgh or Londonoffice.
  • Strong Microsoft suite skills inparticular Word Powerpoint andSharepoint.
  • Proven experience of documentmanagement in large infrastructure projects with offshore windexperience a strong advantage.
  • Experience ofworking with one or more of the mainstream EDMS tools (Aconex wouldbe an advantage).
  • Strong attention to detailorganised and excellent time management with ability to workautonomously
  • Experience in gathering andconsolidating qualitative and quantitative data intoreports
  • Good standard of spoken and writtenEnglish.
  • Openminded and cando attitude able towork autonomously and proactively with excellent attention todetail.
