About the role

In the role of Engineering Business Developer (Rail), you will partner with the top specifier offices, pro-actively developing specifications and securing Hilti technical solutions on major construction projects, working directly with their consultant engineers and designers.

This role will focus on supporting Hilti’s rail customer-base throughout the UK.
You will aim to maximise Hilti’s specification potential by providing a high standard of engineering service to consultants and by working closely with in-house design teams of key contractors.

You will preferably be based around the Midlands, but the role will have national coverage.

What you will do

In this role you will be tasked with proactively building relationships with consultant engineers and designers within Top specifier offices, providing technical support and delivering engineering services.

You'll be responsible for the national account development strategy and its implementation as well as driving Hilti specifications for key product categories: post-installed anchors & rebar, SafeSET system, direct fastening, installation systems and firestop.

You will provide expertise and technical advice in the design stage of major construction projects as well as technical help and training to other team members.

What you will bring

Degree in Civil / Structural or Mechanical Engineering
Previous knowledge or experience of working within the rail industry is essential
Good level of knowledge of the construction industry, the design processes and relevant technical disciplines associated with construction industry.
Commercial awareness and previous experience in business and account development
Full and clean manual driving license

Who should apply
