About the role
As a Bid Manager in the Ridge London office, you will lead the Bid Team and be responsible for capitalising on business opportunities by effectively managing the preparation, delivery, and follow-up of bids, tenders and proposals. This includes coordinating with various stakeholders, developing compelling content, and leading submissions to secure new business. The Bid Manager drives growth, innovation, and client satisfaction through strategic bid management and collaboration with internal teams.
Role and Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Ridge London Office Bid Team Manage the end-to-end bid process from initiation to submission Run complex, and multi discipline bids Agree the internal budgets for each bid and report on actual costs incurred Create bid briefing document for all stakeholders which sets out the client’s requirements, project details, key deliverables and milestones Manage the assembled bid teams and inputs from key stakeholders Ensure milestones and deadlines within the bid process are met, including management of action logs and deliverables Organise relevant meetings with the appropriate parties, to ensure that everyone is working to the deadlines Review bid documents prior to submission to ensure compliance with client requirements and internal QA/QC process Obtain feedback on submitted bids and incorporate lessons learnt into future submissions Use materials to promote the Ridge brand and demonstrate value add for clients Assist in maintaining and improving the bid management process within Ridge and challenge existing practices Maintaining responsibility for client contact throughout the tender period alongside the Partner lead and ensure all post tender requirements are dealt with efficiently, effectively and in a timely manner Support Partner leads to manage existing Frameworks and to identify opportunities Assisting with preparation and delivery of presentations to the client as appropriate Maintain tracker of bid pipeline and submissions Report on bid KPI’s and success metrics Manage London office social media and liaise with central Marketing team Create internal presentations Maintain and update event tracker Attend London office management meetings
Experience and Skills Required
Effective and experienced manager, with the ability to lead and motivate a team Ability to engage and influence a range of key stakeholders A high attention to detail Highly motivated and deadline driven Thrive in a busy environment Able to lead and motivate a team Experienced in preparing and submitting public sector bids, within the Construction, or Professional Services sector Can demonstrate effective bid writing skills (even if they will not be writing the actual bid documentation) Knowledge of AI toolsWhat’s in it for you?
