Estates Maintenance Assistant

In line with this vision, the Estates Directorate are seeking a highly committed Maintenance Assistant to join our busy Estates Department to participate in the maintenance of the hospital building services and equipment, to comply with the Trust policies and procedures and any relevant legislation.
Working a hour week based at The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital; you may however be required to work at The Princess Royal Hospital, Telford.
You may be required to join the on call system.
Main duties of the job
You will assist the Assistant Estates Operations Managers and his or her Deputy in the management of the Trust's Estates, taking specific responsibility for all issues relating to the Estates department Reactive & Planned work maintenance requests to meet the needs of the service.

Experience and knowledge
Essential
Knowledge of range of procedures for building and repair, or mechanical and gas maintenance or repair of electrical equipment Basic knowledge of workshop safety Experience in assisting skilled tradespersons
Skills

Ability to use relevant tools and equipment
Qualifications
Essential
5 GCSEs grade A* - C (9 - 4) or equivalent in English, Maths and a Science/Engineering subject 3 A Levels in Maths or Physics (preferably) plus one other Science/Engineering subject OR BTEC Extended Level 3 Diploma (DDM) equivalent in EngineeringWe have other current jobs related to this field that you can find below
