Primary School in Colne (BB8) 

We are seeking a Level 3 HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) or QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) Teacher with SEN experience to join our dedicated team at Teaching Personnel.

The successful candidate will support students' day-to-day activities and delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences through 1:1 and small group tutoring. The school is based in Ne and is dedicated to providing equal life chances for all our students. - Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging sessions that meet the diverse needs of our students

- Provide support and guidance to students in their educational and personal development, fostering independence, confidence, and self-advocacy skills.

- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualised learning plans for students, ensuring progress is monitored and interventions are put in place as necessary.

- Support students in their transition to adulthood, facilitating opportunities for community engagement, work experience, and leisure activities.

- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development activities to enhance teaching practice and keep abreast of best practices in SEN education.

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or 3 HLTA qualification or equivilent experience.
  • Experience working in a SEN (Special Educational Needs) setting desirable
  • Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting the holistic development of students with diverse needs.
  • Be eligable for an enhanced DBS disclosure check
  • Pay dependent on experience.

This is a full-time role, Monday-Friday
