We are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant for our school in Accrington. A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Teaching Assistant with experience in key stage 2.

The school is graded ‘good’ by Ofsted and has positive reviews from both parents and staff. Our school has a good reputation regarding our pupil behaviour management as well as being a warm and friendly environment. The pupils are the main priority in our school, their education and wellbeing are our focus, meaning when they leave our school, they are well rounded, prepared individuals.

Our school has excellent facilities, a spacious car park and accessible by public transport with a bus stop and train station close by. All support staff entering our school are welcomed by experienced and friendly staff who are more than happy to help practitioners settle into their new roles.

The role:

This role is for a Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant specifically to help support the year 4 class teacher.  The ideal candidate will be happy to undertake intervention sessions, working 1:3, 1:2 and 1:1. We expect Teaching Assistants entering our school to have knowledge on the national curriculum for KS2, specifically numeracy and literacy. There will also be opportunity to stand in for the class teacher when needed.

  • Full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am – 3.30pm
  • Competitive rates £12.90 - £15 per hour.
  • Temporary with a view to make the right candidate permanent.
  • To start September 2024.
