Our client, a well established market leader in their field, has an exciting new job opportunity for a Qualified Head of Finance.
Your new role 
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller / Head of Finance to join the team working as a key member of the Senior Management team at the Stirling Head Office.
You will play a vital role as part of the senior management team and will be responsible for running and managing a busy finance department, managing a small team of staff.
Responsibilities will include:

  • All aspects of the oversight of the company's financial management (all aspects of financial and management accounting) including a review of the systems and controls currently in place and making recommendations for improvement. 
  • Ensure that company financial systems are robust, compliant and support current activities and future growth 
  • Liaise closely with the Directors and ensure that reporting deadlines are met and that the Directors are provided with regular financial information timeously 
  • Review and update the company's budgets and projections 
  • Attend Senior management meetings formulating strategies and plans take ultimate responsibility for the company cash management policies
  • Providing meaningful management information and insight to support commercial decision-making.

What you'll need to succeed 
  • The ideal candidate will be fully qualified and ideally have trained in practice with post-qualification experience gained in a similar varied Financial Controller / Head of finance role within a commercial organisation.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills
  • Excellent team building and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build robust working relationships with managers around the group and the ability to convey financial concepts to a non-financial audience.
