As one of the administrators within the teamyou will be expected to work withtherapists and driving instructors to support the development and roll out of car seat andharness assessment clinics for children with a range of disabilities. Withinthis role you will provide families withassessment report, so they have theinformation to make an informed choice about car travel safety.

Driving assessment, designed to reviewsomeones ability to drive and give them an honest opinion of their skills and ability,will enable to postholder to team upwith therapists and Driving Instructors to report comprehensiveassessments.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Administrator to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Drive Ability North West (DANW) Team Lead and Driving assessment team.

The post holder will be responsible for :

Working as a key member of the Drive Ability Team -made up of Occupational Therapists, Approved Driving Instructors, administrative staff and a dedicated Operational Manager. Collecting statistical data to support the service. Assisting the Team Lead/ Operational manager in the preparation of the quarterly returns. Ordering of stationery and equipment. Management of a comprehensive standard operating procedure for all aspects of non-clinical service delivery record management. Collation of data for reporting purposes such as key performance indicators referral sources, geographic locations. Input and receipt of supplier invoices and liaising with suppliers. Assist the Team Lead in the training, development, and supervision of any Administration Assistants within the service.

Job responsibilities

The postholders main duties and responsibilities will include :

Managing daily referrals, recording information onto the service data base ensuring redirection//signposting of inappropriate referrals; Organising patient appointments via telephone or letter; Supporting the DANW service with the typing of correspondence via audio or written letters; Maintaining effective communication networks, written, verbally and electronically with all stakeholders including DVLA, Motability and health professionals referring into the service ensuring confidential transfer of patient information; Answering the telephone, taking and recording messages accurately including client enquiries and responding to queries appropriately, signposting where necessary. Managing the assessment and intervention diary for the team members; Working without supervision, prioritising own workload; Undertaking general office duties as required including managing incoming and outgoing mail and photocopying. Attending team meetings to take and record minutes and to contribute to developments and improvements that affect the day to day running of the office and service delivery. Being responsible for keeping up to date with relevant Policies and Procedures and to be responsible for bringing any new policies to the attention of the team; Contributing to the development, implementation and maintenance of information databases; Being responsible for archiving patient notes in accordance with Trust Policy. Monitoring and inputting data for analysis reporting; Compiling data reports as and when required. Assisting with data collection for aspects of clinical audit and other organisational or service specific audit To actively participate in your performance reviews and the development and implementation of a personal development plan; To ensure professional standards are maintained and statutory and mandatory training is up to date. Demonstrable experience in communicating with a wide range of people. To have proven clerical experience and/or be able to demonstrate administrative knowledge Audio Typing or experience of client/stakeholder report preparation. Note Taking

Demonstrable Good numeracy and literacy skills. GCSE level maths & English or equivalent evidence NVQ 3 in Business Administration or equivalent experience
