About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to join our team as a Business Development Lead with a focus on Cyber Services. This role is ideal for someone eager to advance their career in both business development and cyber security. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of the cyber security landscape and a passion for driving business growth. This role will involve identifying new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and contributing to the development of strategic initiatives to expand our cyber security services and wider capabilities

Responsibilities:

Market Research & Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities across multiple market sectors.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities and customer requirements to inform business strategies.
  • Generate leads through various channels and build a pipeline of qualified prospects.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
  • Understand client requirements and present tailored cyber security solutions to meet their needs.
  • Act as a point of contact for client inquiries and provide timely and effective solutions.

Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through various channels (networking, e-mail correspondence, meetings, etc.).
  • Prepare presentations and communicate the value and importance of our cyber security solutions and wider capabilities to prospective clients.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in cyber security and our wider market sectors to provide informed recommendations and insights.
  • Assist in developing and executing strategic business development plans to achieve sales targets.

Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Work closely with the sales, marketing and operational teams to develop proposals, effective sales materials and campaigns.
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our cyber security solutions.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of business development activities and client interactions in CRM systems.
  • Provide regular reports on sales activities, pipeline status, and business development progress to senior management.



It is desirable that you:

  • Are able to have an understanding of potential future markets and the gaps to be exploited.
  • Have a good awareness of contract commercials & negotiation.
  • Have sales or customer relationship/account management experience

It is highly desirable that you:

  • Have UK defence business development and sales experience in professional services.
  • Have an awareness and understanding of Cyber service provision.
  • Have a good network within the Cyber services and technology sector.


As the ideal candidate, it is essential that you:

  • Are able to achieve and maintain or already have relevant UK security clearances.
  • Are able to work within a team, driven by common goals and expectations.
