This will be achieved by providing education, advice and support to clinical staff on all aspects of Tissue Viability.
Main duties of the jobThe organisation requires Specialist Nurse Practitioners in Tissue Viability to deliver and inspire compassionate excellence.
Specialist Practitioners will:
Accept appropriate patient referrals from clinical areas to give advice on aspects of tissue viability, including pressure ulcer prevention and complex wound management. Provide advice, education and support to health care professionals within the Trust, developing training programmes and raising awareness of issues as they arise. Practice clinically in agreed care settings according to approved protocols or guidance. Contribute to the effective running of the designated service. Work across departmental boundaries. Liaise with other hospital and community teams as necessary to support patient management and care. Contribute to the ongoing development of the Tissue Viability Service.
