We are looking for a Money Advice Partners to take on this exciting new role here at settle. The role will deliver excellent customer service to all internal and external customers by being the first point of contact for all welfare benefits and debt matters.

Requirements

Outline of Key Responsibilities...

  • Offer residents practical help with basic budget advice, benefit entitlement, rent payment, getting back into work and opportunities to save money and maximise income
  • Offer practical help with debt during times of financial difficulties, looking at sustainable debt solutions that would enable residents to sustain their tenancy.
  • Assist with applications for benefits or Discretionary Housing Payments, where necessary and advise on accessing other support services.
  • Onboard new residents successfully by carrying out affordability check identifying support needs and affordability issues at an early stage to maximise tenancy sustainment
  • Manage a complex caseload independently
  • Effectively communicate with residents and understand their needs often in emotional and sensitive situations.
  • Record all service delivery activities including agreeing affordable repayment arrangements with residents.

We are looking for someone who has...

  • Previous experience within the welfare and benefit sector and have a basic knowledge of housing legislation, working with both Housing Benefit and Universal Credit.
  • Have an Interest in providing debt advice and openness to completing the Certificate in Money Advice Practice qualification.
  • A passion for dealing directly with the public and take pride in delivering high-quality customer care.
  • Will act quickly when there are indications a tenant may be experiencing financial or well-being issues that are impacting their ability to sustain their tenancy.
  • Full UK driving licence
