About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Money Advice Partner to join our team at settle. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer service to our residents, providing expert guidance on welfare benefits and debt management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Offer residents practical support with budgeting, benefit entitlement, and rent payment, as well as assistance with getting back into work and saving money.
  • Provide expert advice on debt management, helping residents find sustainable solutions to overcome financial difficulties.
  • Assist with applications for benefits and Discretionary Housing Payments, ensuring residents receive the support they need.
  • Onboard new residents successfully, conducting affordability checks and identifying support needs to maximize tenancy sustainment.
  • Manage a complex caseload independently, ensuring timely and effective support for residents.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, understanding their needs and providing empathetic support in sensitive situations.
  • Record all service delivery activities, including agreeing affordable repayment arrangements with residents.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in the welfare and benefit sector, with a basic knowledge of housing legislation and working with Housing Benefit and Universal Credit.
  • A passion for providing debt advice and a willingness to complete the Certificate in Money Advice Practice qualification.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to deliver high-quality customer care.
  • A full UK driving licence.
