The pharmacy department at OUH comprises of over staff in the clinical pharmacy team, and we work across all hospital sites. Main duties of the job

Gastroenterology - part of rotational specialist pharmacist programme

Contact Sarah Cripps Consultant Pharmacist Gastroenterology

Includes opportunities for - Day case and inpatient specialist ward cover (liver/gastro patients), being an integral member of the MDT (and option to gain NMP qualification. Gain experience in homecare and high cost drug management.

Cancer - opportunity to be permanently in cancer team or as part of rotational specialist pharmacist programme

Contact Godwin Leung or Ana Gomes or (Specialist pharmacists in oncology) 

Delivery of high quality pharmaceutical care to adult cancer inpatient, outpatients and day cases. Includes opportunities for: supporting day treatment unit, clinical checking SACT prescriptions, pharmacist led oral SACT education clinics, aseptic experience (QC/QA), clinical trials experience and palliative care.

Antimicrobial stewardship - permanent position in AMS team

Contact Louise Dunsmure (Consultant Pharmacist Antimicrobial Stewardship)

Work as part of the AMS team to deliver the AMS agenda - supporting clinicians in the safe prescribing of antimicrobials (on ward rounds, answering queries and proactive surveillance)
