An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Hospital In-reach occupational therapist to work in Kingston Foundation Trust Hospital for the Richmond Response and Rehabilitation Team (RRRT). The service operates from 7am until 7pm across Richmond borough.

As an occupational therapist you will assist the RRRT Service Manager in the management of a designated caseload resulting from patients you have identified as appropriate for safe and timely discharge from Kingston Hospital.

The Trust is passionate in developing the staff to build upon your occupational therapy career, with this post being a 6 months fixed-term role which will enhance and progress your continuing professional development.

Main duties of the job

The Hospital In-Reach (HIT) Lead occupational therapist will lead on the development and implementation of the RRRT function of in-reach to Kingston Hospital. There will also be a key responsibility of improving patient access to overall HRCH NHS Trust community services to ensure we get it right the first time, every time. The post holder will work closely with RRRT Service Manager, Divisional Managers, Assistant Directors and Clinical Operational Leads to deliver the agreed outcomes. The post holder will need to provide the leadership and representation of RRRT at Kingston Hospital Foundation Trust meetings whilst ensuring patient pathways are supported, developed and embedded into practice. The post-holder will operate at all times with reference to the Trust's objectives and quality priorities.
