Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our team at Kingston Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. As a Band 5 Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing individualized, goal-oriented interventions that promote health and well-being through participation in chosen occupations.

Main Responsibilities

You will work collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team to provide a holistic, patient-centered occupational therapy service. This will involve providing comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions to a wide variety of patients, in line with current evidence-based practice, national and local policies, and within the scope of professional standards of practice.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development and evaluation of the occupational therapy service, which is continually evolving in line with local and national proposals, such as the NHS Five Year Forward Plan.

Person Specification

We are looking for an individual who has:

  • Diploma/degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • HCPC Registration.
  • Experience of applying the OT process.
  • Use of functional assessment and activity analysis.
  • Documented evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Experience of working within a multidisciplinary and/or occupational therapy team.
  • Experience of working with people in a health or social services environment.

Desirable qualifications include experience of working in any of the following areas: hand therapy, community elderly care, general medicine, orthopaedics, or stroke.
