The Specialist Treatment and Recovery Service (STaRS) are looking to recruit a Band 3 Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join an established Multi-Disciplinary Team. STaRS is a ground-breaking, mental health rehabilitation service which offers intensive, high quality, person-centred rehabilitation interventions in both inpatient settings and in the community. The service is based in Hull and serves clients across Hull and East Yorkshire.

Work undertaken by the team is aimed at maximising service users’ activities of daily living, skill development, development of meaningful activity and routine and to promote social inclusion.

There will be a requirement for the Occupational Therapy Assistant to work flexibly in line with rosters and shift patterns.

The post holder will be managed by the Team Manager/Advanced Occupational Therapist, and professionally supervised by a member of the Occupational Therapy team.

All teams in the Mental Health Service in Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust are committed to supervision, annual personal development reviews and undergraduate student education.

The successful applicant needs to have the ability to commute within the Trusts geographical area with access to the appropriate means of transport is essential.

It is expected that the successful applicant will have knowledge of occupational therapy and ideally have experienced of working with occupational therapists.
