Now the new academic year is in full swing, a school we work very closely with are seeking dedicated and experienced teachers to support the delivery of their creative and engaging curriculum. Supporting students aged 3 -19 with a range of complex needs, you will provide essential support in the absence of the classroom teacher.


 

The role:


 

  • Deliver personalised lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with additional needs
  • Create a stimulating and nurturing classroom environment that encourages learning and development
  • Collaborate with a dedicated team of professional, including teaching assistants and specialists, to support the students’ educational and emotional needs
  • Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEP’s), ensuring that each student’s progress is tracked and monitored
  • Engage with parents, caregivers and external agencies to provide comprehensive support for students


 

About you:


 

  • Previous teaching experience is essential. You must have qualified teacher status (QTS)
  • Previous experience working with additional needs is highly desirable
  • Excellent knowledge of the UK national curriculum
  • Sound knowledge of additional needs and strategies to support young people
  • Hold high expectations of young people and their outcomes
  • Must be able to drive and have access to your own car


 

Working hours will be 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.
