Now the new academic year is in full swing, a school we work very closely with are seeking dedicated and experienced teachers to support the delivery of their creative and engaging curriculum. Supporting students aged 3 -19 with a range of complex needs, you will provide essential support in the absence of the classroom teacher.
The role:
- Deliver personalised lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with additional needs
- Create a stimulating and nurturing classroom environment that encourages learning and development
- Collaborate with a dedicated team of professional, including teaching assistants and specialists, to support the students’ educational and emotional needs
- Implement and monitor Individual Education Plans (IEP’s), ensuring that each student’s progress is tracked and monitored
- Engage with parents, caregivers and external agencies to provide comprehensive support for students
About you:
- Previous teaching experience is essential. You must have qualified teacher status (QTS)
- Previous experience working with additional needs is highly desirable
- Excellent knowledge of the UK national curriculum
- Sound knowledge of additional needs and strategies to support young people
- Hold high expectations of young people and their outcomes
- Must be able to drive and have access to your own car
Working hours will be 8:30am - 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, term time only.
