Job Title: Healthcare/ Administration Assistant

Hours: 37hrs per week. Monday- Sunday as per local rota, varying shift pattern.

InHealth Upright MRI is the largest established operator of upright and open MRI technology in the United Kingdom. We were the first provider to offer this alternative form of medical imaging to the general public which allows claustrophobic patients and those who cannot undertake conventional MRI imaging to undergo the scans they require. We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Upright team in Birmingham and contribute further to making healthcare better for more patients. This is a role that combines both a healthcare assistant role and an administration role, allowing for diversity in your role. ?

Main duties of the job

Welcoming patients in a professional, courteous manner, coordinating their arrival through to departureEscorting patients to and from the clinical area as required, explaining the procedure in full and ensuring any questions or concerns are managed professionallyCompleting the patient's pre-scan data protection/consent form and health and safety questionnaire (where applicable)Assessing and monitoring the patient's condition after procedure, ensuring that any changes are reported to the relevant staff immediatelyAccurately entering all relevant patient data into the patient management systemManaging administrative tasks within the department as required.Dealing with telephone and direct enquiries in a prompt and effective manner, ensuring the provision of information and prioritisation of queries as appropriateBooking clinically validated appointments on the internal systemEnsuring all payments are invoiced promptly and accurately and that payments are taken on the dayTracking and distributing Imaging data and reports as required.Utilising relevant IT systems to support the delivery of a high-quality Imaging ServiceAssist with monthly reportsComplying with ISO standards, respecting and protecting confidentialityReporting any incidents, feedback or complaints effectivelyEnsuring patient and customer focus is central to the commercial success of the business.

We are looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join the Upright team in Birmingham and contribute further to making healthcare better for more patients. This is a role that combines both a healthcare assistant role and an administration role, allowing for diversity in your role.

What will you do:

As a clinical assistant, supporting the Radiography department, the core of your role is to ensure our patients receive the best standard of care from arrival through to departure. The Clinical Assistant is primarily responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the working day by welcoming patients into the clinical area and preparing them for their scan. You will also be required to complete some administrative tasks within the department, however this role will mostly be patient facing.
