Long-Term Teachers are working with a variety of schools in Newton Abbot and the surrounding areas and have an amazing opportunity to join their team as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant. Commencing in September 2024, the role will involve working Monday to Friday, term time only, typically between the hours of 8:30am - 3:30pm (dependent on the school hours).


 

As a HLTA, you will play a pivotal role in the classroom. Not only will you support the classroom teacher in the day to day running of the lessons, but you will cover classes to help relieve pressure on teachers. This may be to allow them time to plan or mark assignments. You will also be involved in the planning process and assist with monitoring student progress.


 

You will provide specialist support in areas such as numeracy, literacy and support students with special educational needs. There will be plenty of opportunities to engage in professional development and stay up to date with the latest educational needs and trends.


 

If you have excellent behaviour management and communication skills, this is the perfect job for you We are looking for an individual who is hard-working, adaptable and organised. Previous experience working in an educational setting is essential.


 

With flexible work, you will liaise with your consultant with regards to your availability where we can book accordingly. Should you wish to hear about long term, permanent roles, we are happy to arrange interview and trial days.
