Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Glendinning Academy. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).

Key Responsibilities

As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with our teaching staff to provide individualized support to pupils with a range of needs, including Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC), anxiety, and Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). Your duties will include:

  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning and delivery
  • Providing one-to-one support to pupils with SEND
  • Supporting pupils with their personal care and well-being
  • Contributing to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment


Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with pupils, staff, and parents.
