Overview

We are currently seeking a Risk and Governance Analyst to join our Risk & Governance team at Pen. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the team and the wider business with matters relating to Compliance, Risk, and the Governance Framework. Your main objective will be to act in the best interests of the company by helping to mitigate risks and ensure compliance within the insurance industry. How you'll make an impact Administer quarterly Conduct Risk questionnaires to Pen's coverholders and trading teams, monitor response rates, and participate in review meetings. Provide regular updates on Conduct Risk survey completion rates to the business teams, assist with chasing non-responders, and prepare related management information. Conduct analysis on Coverholder Conduct Risk data, including trends and matters for escalation, and present findings in quarterly business unit meetings. Review Conflict of Interest disclosures in line with central policy expectations and liaise with senior management when necessary. Produce Conduct Risk management information reports for Insurer partners, internal Business Units, and Governance Committees. Manage the Conduct Risk and Complaints databases, and assist with developing enhanced management information reports. Assist with the review and approval of coverholder trading relationships, working with central teams where required. Assist with the effective end-to-end management of Risk Events, including analysis, identifying root causes, trends, themes, and systemic issues. Issue the monthly Errors and Omissions survey to Pen business leads. Comply with the Gallagher Professional Standards Manual in accordance with the requirements of the role. Assist with the production of monthly management information reports and quarterly trend analysis for the Pen Risk Committee. Contribute to thematic reviews and key Risk & Governance team projects, including implementation of regulatory changes and reporting progress. About you Educated to degree standard is preferable but not essential. Working towards a relevant professional qualification (, CII / ICA) is preferable but not essential. Some knowledge of general insurance (London Market / Lloyd's and Industry) products, services, and classes of insurance, and underlying legal principles and practices. Some understanding of Compliance and Risk Management frameworks and approaches. Demonstrated ability to build professional relationships and work collaboratively within a team environment. Demonstrated ability to plan and prioritize effectively, and handle multiple tasks concurrently. Proficient user of Microsoft Excel, with the ability to solve database errors and produce management information reports. Confident user of Power BI or willingness to learn. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and numerical skills, with high accuracy and attention to detail. Proactive, takes initiative, and committed to continuous improvement. Organized, results-focused, and works towards own and team's goals. Able to identify potential risks/issues and seek advice when required.
