QUALITYENGINEER

Ourclient is a specialist for intelligent drive technology andsystems. Their customers are in diverse industries such as oil andgas energy mining ship technology rail and commercial vehicles.They are looking to employ on a fulltimepermanent basis an experienced Quality Engineer.This role will be based out of their offices located inCroydon.

Drugand Alcohol related medical for all New Employees upon starting.

QualityEngineerResponsibilities

Support theQuality Manager and deputise in theirabsence

Assist inmaintaining the Company Quality Management System and compliancewith the appropriate national and international standardsthroughout theCompany.

Completeinternal audits as per the schedule and promptly produce thereport.

Follow Up withinternal departments regarding NCR s raised from External/Internalsources. Support departments as required using RCAtools.

Conduct supplierassessments audits and appraisals ifapplicable.

Maintenance ofthe calibration system and help manage the external calibrationserviceprovider.

SupportMechanical Inspector regarding inspection of machined and/orfabricatedparts.

Development andimplementation of process improvements to improve efficiency andreducecosts.

Controlling therelease of technical documents toproduction.

Working withengineering on controlled testspecifications/procedures.

Presentations tothe workforce on QualityProcesses.

Managing thequarantine area ensuring parts are actioned within a suitabletimeframe by the relevantdepartments.

Manage theworkshop audit schedule with the auditors and ensure findings arecommunicated to relevant managers and recorded on the NCRdatabase.

Drafting QualityPlans and Method Statements asrequired.

QualityEngineerRequirements

Educated todegree / HNC level within a Mechanical Engineeringbackground

Engineering /technical background including knowledge of engineering / Railwaystandards.

Extensiveexperience of quality systems in a safety critical engineeringenvironment.

ISO9001:2015Internal or Lead Auditorcertified.

Experience inQuality Assurance techniques and the ability to makerecommendations tomanagement.

Beconversant and able to work in both metric and imperial units ofmeasure.

Fully conversantwith such as Micrometres Callipers Height Gauges and CMMs (Inspect3D).

Must be able andwilling to work in various and sometimes challengingenvironments.
