About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and improving the Quality Management System for the main site, off-site personnel, and field service. This will involve ensuring compliance to ISO 9001, RISQS, and RISAS standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and improve the Quality Management System for the main site, off-site personnel, and field service.
  2. Ensure compliance to ISO 9001, RISQS, and RISAS standards.
  3. Receive and coordinate customer and third-party auditors and ensure continued approvals for the company.
  4. Supervise the Quality Team and maintain a robust inspection process for both incoming and outgoing goods.
  5. Perform supplier assessments and audits to develop the supply chain. Establish a supplier rating system.
  6. Create and manage the internal audit plan.
  7. Review and approve customer and supplier requirements, specifications, commercial, and technical documents from a quality perspective.
  8. Manage the NCR system for both internal and external NCRs.
  9. Establish the ethic of right first time to reduce the cost of non-quality and improve OPEX.
  10. Ensure there are adequate numbers of internal auditors to achieve the plan.
  11. Identify and provide appropriate Quality System Awareness training and further develop the Quality ethic within the company at all levels.
  12. Quality at Plant point of contact for all enquiries and reportable KPIs.
  13. Authorisation to stop the process or product or service provision if quality or safety requirements are not met.
  14. Ensure the intranet Company Management System (CMS) and roXtra is maintained.
  15. Manage the calibration register to ensure all assets are within calibration at all times.
  16. Manage and report on all direct reports appropriately.

Requirements:

  1. Experience in Quality Management within an engineering environment.
  2. Chartered Quality professional status.
  3. Lead auditor qualified and experienced in planning and scheduling internal audits.
  4. Good technical background including knowledge of engineering standards.
  5. Possess good all-round IT skills including knowledge of ERP systems.
  6. Analytical ability (costing, finance, and performance KPIs).
  7. Excellent leadership and influencing skills.
  8. Excellent communicator at all levels.
  9. Fluent technical and conversational English.
  10. Excellent team and personnel management skills.
  11. Excellent customer-facing skills.
  12. Commercial awareness, the impact of poor quality on contracts.
  13. Understanding of OPEX.
