Job Description:

The Strategic Vendor Senior Management is a global role that will be accountable for designing and building a world-in-class Partner Ecosystem, to unleash the power and maximize the value delivered by the strategic partners to the Mars businesses, ensuring they work effectively and efficiently, bringing innovation and cost optimization.


This role will also support the Security organization in developing and executing a new program to measure and enforce compliance for Mars critical strategic partners. 


Reporting to the Value Management Office Director, the Strategic Vendor Senior Manager will drive the socialization, implementation, and maturity of the Partner Excellence Office program across Mars DT GDO.

What are we looking for?

The person responsible will need to be able to work through ambiguity and work autonomously to establish the program. Stakeholder management and peer relationships will be critical skills in addition to functional knowledge.

Enhance the mutual relationship between Mars and its strategic partners, working in collaboration with the Procurement and Functional (BDS, EDS, InfoSec) counterparts.

Manage the relationship lifecycle with the strategic partners to maximize the value realized through those interactions.

Leadership skills that will inspire and encourage the Associates, while coaching and mentoring provide guidance and tailored support, giving them the support required for opportunities and development.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Design, define, and drive the strategy for the Partner Excellence Office, looking at the internal and market best practices.

Develop messaging, talking points, and presentation content to socialize and ensure alignment to Partner Excellence Office strategy, goals, and objectives.

Develop and maintain meaningful metrics, communications, and materials regarding the status of the Partner Excellence Office program for the key stakeholders within Mars DT.

Develop, implement and mature the policies and best practices for a robust Partner Excellence Office governance model and proactively manage and govern all aspects of the relationship with the global suppliers in one of the four specific domains taking into account SLAs and KPIs.

Define, implement, and mature the Supplier Relationship ITOM processes and training materials for service/project managers and Commercial associates to effectively perform their roles.

Collaborate and influence other process owners up through the director level to ensure there is an integrated approach to the design and implementation of Strategic Partner Management, service level management, service introduction, and procurement processes.

Design and define Partner Excellence Office templates for the Operational reviews and Quarterly Business reviews and solicit feedback for continuous improvements as we implement more suppliers in the program

Collaborate with Commercial to bring the Partner Excellence Office program to life within Mars DT by taking a 360 degree view of the current relationship with the supplier and measuring that against the aspirational goal of where it should be and collaborate with the Partner's plan and then govern the process through the operational, relationship and top 2 top meetings.

Manage and deliver projects outside the area without managerial control over people and resources.

Working knowledge related to the use of external benchmarking for our Partners to ensure that we are maximizing the TCO.

Collaborate with GDO and Enterprise Technology on defining the strategies for in-source vs. out-sourcing our DT services.

Work collaboratively with IT Project/Service Managers and Commercial to provide guidance and advice on IT supplier selection criteria and advise on supplier implications for ongoing service delivery and effective project integration of the services/products into the business.

Develop and govern the process for dealing with contractual disputes and ensuring that any disputes are dealt with in an efficient and effective manner, working with Commercial for escalations.

Maintain a process for dealing with the expected end, early end or transfer of a service.
