An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the MOPAC Evidence & Insight team as a Public Voice and Engagement Lead.

The Mayor’s Office for Policing And Crime (MOPAC) is the organisation through which the Mayor of London exercises his role as the Police and Crime Commissioner for London and is led by the Deputy Mayor for Policing and Crime. These surveys include the Public Attitude Survey and the User Satisfaction Survey as well as several others. More information can be found here: The purpose here is to best supporting MOPAC and ensuring evidence and public perceptions are at the centre of policy making to make London safer.

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible and hold professional leadership in this Public Voice function within the Evidence and Insight Team. In this position, you will be providing strategic direction and day-to-day leadership of the entire MOPAC Public Voice and Engagement function. You'll provide analysis support and advice on key national policy issues and ensuring Public Voice data is a key aspect within MOPAC decision making and influencing senior stakeholders to promote insights and practical usage of the work programme.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in working with surveys – both at an operational level (i.e., survey design) but also a strategic level in terms of overseeing or using survey data to inform and drive improvements. A proven track record of effective line management and the ability to build and inspire effective teams. Strong understanding of public engagement principles and experience in delivering engagement strategies. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex information to senior stakeholders. This is especially important when overseeing and translating complex analysis for a wide variety of senior/lay audiences. Previous experience in a senior leadership role, with proven experience in line management and strategic oversight. Significant experience and/or relevant programme management qualification.

If you're ready to take the next step in your career and join a team that's making a real difference improving the lives of Londoners, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
