Teaching Personnel, in partnership with a SEN Primary School, is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for dedicated and passionate individuals to join our expanding team. The setting is a thriving, large special educational needs support school with a strong community spirit, catering to 340 pupils aged 5-11 across three sites. The school is committed to providing an inclusive, high-quality, and tailored education for pupils with moderate, severe, and complex needs. The school's goal is to deliver specialist, high-quality education that is both relevant and balanced, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.

The Role:

We are seeking to appoint enthusiastic and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistants to support our ever-growing team. As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the learning and development of our pupils, many of whom have complex needs. You will work closely with teachers and other staff to provide tailored support to ensure each child can access the curriculum and achieve their personal best.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons, adapting resources and strategies to meet the needs of pupils with SEND.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to pupils, helping to reinforce learning and manage behavior.
  • Support pupils’ social and emotional development, helping them to build self-esteem and confidence.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor and record pupils’ progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all pupils feel safe, supported, and valued.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to further enhance your skills and knowledge in special educational needs.

About You:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working with children with special educational needs
  • A patient, empathetic, and resilient nature with a genuine passion for supporting children with SEND.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A commitment to promoting the welfare and safeguarding of pupils.
