Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a prestigious SEN primary school in Swinton. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils with special educational needs, aged 4 to 11, who have an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils with special educational needs in a classroom setting, providing individualized attention and care.
  • Assist teachers in developing and implementing personalized learning plans, tailored to meet the unique needs of each pupil.
  • Help create a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting social, emotional, academic, and personal development.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure effective communication and coordination of support.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in supporting pupils with special educational needs.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs is essential.
  • Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel.
  • Availability to commence in September after registration and vetting from Teaching Personnel.
  • References covering the last 24 months of employment history (from professional email addresses).
  • PECS and Team Teach Training preferred.
