Here in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland (LLR), we are innovatively transforming our ways of working with people with relational and emotional needs. This includes developing a Primary Care and Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise sector (VCSE) hub, to promote psychologically- and trauma-informed ways of working.

We are keen for a Band 8a, or at Band 7 on a preceptorship, to join us in our pathway. There will be opportunities to work in our transforming secondary care provision and/or work to develop and deliver the Primary Care and Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprise sector (VCSE) hub. Working as a psychologist in Leicestershire Partnership Trust

The Trust has a substantial service structure with psychologists in lead roles including at directorate level. We have psychologists as pathway leads for complex trauma, psychosis, and personality disorders who are supported by psychologists at every grade. There are therefore clear career paths for psychologists who join us and we are committed to your development through training and supervision.

Main duties of the job

This is an exciting time to join the pathway for relational and emotional needs. You will join over 30 staff, where you will work with the Consultant Psychologist, Principal Psychologists, Clinical Associate Psychologists, Assistant Psychologists, Medical Psychotherapist, Peer Support Workers, and Mental Health Practitioners. You will help our population through direct and indirect interventions, delivering individual and group interventions and through supervision, training, and consultation.

We have practitioners in the service experienced in Mentalization-Based Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Structured Clinical Management, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, trauma approaches, and in delivering integrative psychological approaches.

You will have the opportunity to enhance the breath of your psychological skills through a variety of supervision opportunities and continued professional development. You will have the opportunity to further develop your leadership and service development skills. We will support your development through internal and external training programmes.
