Job Description

Deputy Nursery Manager

Salary: Up to £35,000

40 hours per week, across 4 or 5 days

Our client's lively and welcoming nursery is on the lookout for a devoted and enthusiastic Deputy Nursery Manager to help run it and create a positive and nurturing atmosphere for the little ones, and be a key player in the overall success of their Nursery. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leadership in a childcare setting and a strong commitment to championing diversity, equality, and inclusion within an early years environment.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years.
  • Proven experience working in a nursery setting, with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and statutory requirements.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when necessary.
  • Current First Aid and Safeguarding certificates.


Responsibilities
  • Support the nursery manager in leading and managing the nursery team.
  • Oversee the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of age-appropriate activities and experiences.
  • Ensure the safety, well-being, and development of all children in the nursery.
  • Support and mentor staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and external stakeholders.
