What to expect

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Strategic Supplier Management Team for an IT Supplier Manager to join with a view to managing some of the organisations big suppliers and most complex contracts.

 

Within this role you’ll manage at least one Tier 1 (Strategic) outsourcer and ensure the right level of strategic supplier oversight and governance is in place for all relationships in accordance with Group Procurement & Supplier Management Policy as well as the Supplier Relationship Management Playbook.  You will be responsible for ensuring POL suppliers are providing robust, resilient, and service-focused solutions that continuously improve, innovate, and deliver maximum value.

What you’ll need to succeed

As the Senior IT Supplier Manager who will play a vital part during this time of transformation you will have:
•    Proven commercial experience gained from a supplier/vendor management, supply chain, category management, or business development background.
•    Proficient in Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) best practices and strategies.
•    Excellent communication, interpersonal and commercial skills with ability to develop, and project a positive image of the ITSSM function and POL with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
•    Knowledge of Technology outsourcers and suppliers including front and back-office outsourcing, End User Compute, Cloud platforms, Software Asset Management, retail and financial services.
•    Experience in negotiating commercial contracts and tenders, managing complex supplier relationships at scale and be familiar with related legal constructs.
•    Experience of managing suppliers with contract budgets, planning, implementing governance, communications, overall programme of supplier change requests, managing demand and financial management.
•    Managed a diverse and broad range of technology suppliers, setting standards and driving continuous improvement in the availability and performance of their products.
•    Ability to interpret data and present back to suppliers and stakeholders in an appropriate format and level of detail.
