Senior Supplier Relationship Manager (SRM) at DCC

As part of DCC's procurement transformation, we are seeking a Senior Supplier Relationship Manager who excels at leading teams and has experience in navigating complex commercially focused environments. The Senior SRM will oversee a team of Supplier Relationship Managers, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and fostering relationships with senior stakeholders to ensure strategic alignment with suppliers. Responsibilities include spearheading strategic initiatives in areas such as value creation, risk management, performance enhancement, and commercial criteria, all in collaboration with suppliers.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Lead and manage a team of Supplier Relationship Managers accountable for a supplier portfolio exceeding £100m
- Navigate a complex stakeholder environment spanning various strategic programs
- Stay updated on the latest SRM developments to implement best practices
- Proactively manage relationships with suppliers to promote trust and positive behaviors
- Secure supplier commitments for innovation aligned with long-term organizational goals
In addition, you will play a crucial role in supplier relationship management and strategic planning, guaranteeing efficient operations and value delivery.
What qualifications are we seeking in candidates?
Leadership:
- Proven expertise in setting ambitious goals that align with business objectives
- Demonstrated skills in stakeholder management for driving commercial advantages
- The ability to translate project scopes into actionable plans
- Previous experience in line management
Technical:
- Solid track record in Supplier Relationship Management or Customer Relationship Management within the Technology or Telecommunications sectors
- Familiarity with procurement/SRM practices and tools
- Capability to identify, maintain, and enhance relationships with strategic suppliers
- Innovative mindset with a focus on cost-efficiency and value creation
- Proficiency in analyzing supplier performance and risks to optimize outcomes
- Strong attention to detail suitable for regulated environments
Interpersonal:
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team
- Aptitude for influencing C-level stakeholders in dynamic settings
- Expertise in managing complex stakeholder environments and conflicting priorities
