The Gateway, Temporary and Supported Accommodation Manager will be responsible for leading on the delivery of best value services and making sure that the council’s duties regarding temporary and emergency accommodation are met and compliant with homelessness legislation.

Key priorities will include:

Experience as a service leader in a complex organisation, with experience of delivering against outcomes, creating clear objectives and creating a culture of continuous improvement  A collaborative leader, with evidence of successfully fostering and harnessing partnerships across different sectors, and developing a culture of collaboration  Comprehensive and up to date working knowledge of housing legislation in both the public and private sector and up to date working knowledge and understanding of homelessness legislation & homelessness prevention initiatives  Effective budget management through an understanding of the principles of financial management including preparation, monitoring and best value
