The Revenue Accounting Team is responsible for the accounting and financial reporting of O2’s revenues. Feeds from billing systems are processed and scrutinised in order to ensure financial integrity and bring insight into business performance. Adjustments are made to align with financial reporting standards.

This is a core role within the accounting team managing key reconciliations connected with O2’s customer billing. It is essential the control environment surfaces potential issues early.

The must haves

In order to be considered, you must have the following experience;

Proven track record of reconciliation work Previous billing and accounting experience Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines Strong communication skills Ability to build and maintain good partner relationships Ability and desire to understand, influence and improve business processes Excel skills and working with large volumes of data.
The other stuff we are looking for

We'd also love you to bring;

Ability to work with outsourced partner Infosys to maintain key reconciliations. There are approximately 20 or so control / clearing accounts that require monthly reconciliation. Execute month end accounting, raising journals as necessary. Keep to timetable and work to required standards of accuracy. Load balance sheet recs to Blackline tool. Perform monthly SOX controls. Approximately 10 controls require completion each month. This involves resolution and explanation of reconciliation items & load of evidence to Audit-board. Be the SME for annual walkthroughs. To act as main contact for collection bank accounts. dealing with queries and day to day issues. Support periodic external audit requests typically involving providing back up and explanations for sample data. Supervise staff - currently 2 heads. Set objectives and manage day to day activities. Work with partners to establish new streamlined reconciliation processes for 360 (new billing platform).
