Our client are a leading veterinary care provider operating in the UK and Europe across 500+ locations. They are hiring a Regional Facilities/Property Manager for their South England region.
Your new role
As Regional Facilities/Property Manager you will operate in a field-based role as part of the divisional leadership team, managing maintenance, minor works and capital works for circa 100 veterinary clinics across the South of England, from Cornwall to Sussex, including London, south of the M4 corridor. Key duties will include:
- Build and maintain relationships with Regional Directors, Area Managers and Branch Partners – to prioritise maintenance works in a planned manner; to gain support for, and advise on, maximising the reactive maintenance budget
- Prioritise effectively to influence the annual spend on Capital Replacement activity
- Be the “client manager” for Facilities, Property Projects and Estates Management, with a highly professional and totally focussed customer care approach
- Managing minor works and monitoring third party helpdesk to deliver on SLA’s.
- Escalation point for third party helpdesk and sites.
- Authorisation of quoted works, including obtaining comparative quotes when required.
- Reporting on KPI’s to divisional leadership to hit monthly budget and targets.
- Monitoring PPM compliance, remedial actions, and contractor safety.
- Visiting sites to audit works, understand scope required for more difficult maintenance challenges.
- Managing contractors, contractor safety, sites, and internal stakeholders to deliver on the works within budget to conform with building standards, internal specification of works and compliance.
- Generating scope of works to specification whilst maximising value and costs savings within these parameters.
To succeed in this role you will require relevant experience in working as a facilities/property manager on a mobile basis, ideally within a similar environment, such as veterinary care, healthcare, retail, hospitality. You will also require:
- Building maintenance knowledge and understanding
- Minor project management experience
- Full UK driving license
- Ability to stay overnight where required (expenses paid)
- Circa 1 office visit per month (Watford)
When successful in securing this role you will receive a permanent contract with a leading veterinary care provider that is continuing to grow. You will also receive:
- £46,350 salary
- Company vehicle provided
- Travel expenses covered (fuel, parking, hotels etc.)
- Home-based role (typically 3 days on site, 2 days from home)
