Main duties of the job

As well as ensuring all children have access to play and planning appropriate activities based on a childs needs, you will be responsible for providing assistance, guidance and leadership to the wider Play Team of 3. Supporting the team by overseeing all activities, promoting and maintaining good team work and working alongside the Family Support Lead on any Employee Relation activities.

Providing therapeutic and generic, play and leisure activities for babies, children and young people at Rainbows, creating meaningful and enjoyable memories in a safe and caring environment.

Job responsibilities

This is full time role hours Monday- Friday with some weekend working for events, for example; Family Fun Days and annual Christmas party. For this role you will need to have to have the following essential criteria: Fully Qualified Health Play Specialist & registered with HPSETExperience working with babies and children of all agesExperience with babies and children with complex needsAbility to travel around the East Midlands and get to rural locations Our Benefits include: Free onsite parking at the Hospice, Lark Rise, Loughborough. Fully Qualified with Foundation Degree in Healthcare Play Specialism & registered with HPSET

Experience

Essential

Experience with babies and children of all ages (0-18 years) Experience with babies and children with complex needs Demonstrates high standard of performance Effective communication skills with Babies, Children, Young People & Families Ability to teach and support other team members Good team work Knowledge of safeguarding Ability to evaluate the effectiveness of play interventions using a reflective approach and amend programmes if required Valid UK Driving Licence
