What we'll need you to bring

The post holder should have good keyboard skills with the ability to enter information into the computer database with speed and accuracy. The post holder should be educated to Standard Grade level and have gained a qualification in English. Experience in dealing with the General Public is an essential requirement for this post. The post holder should possess good communication and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise the workload, use own initiative, work under pressure and as part of a team in order to accomplish all required tasks. Flexibility, adaptability, excellent telephone manner and good timekeeping are also essential requirements for this post. Once appointed the post holder is expected to use knowledge gained of the Ionising Radiation Regulations and an understanding of how they apply to requests for radiological examinations received within the department to make informed decisions regarding patient care, examination processes, appointment conflicts etc.  Through time the post holder will use the experience they have gained in relation to radiological examination procedures along with knowledge of departmental operational procedures and various computer systems to deal with related non-routine activities and queries, problem solving where necessary.

It would be great if you also have:

Knowledge gained of Ionising Radiation regulations and understanding of how these apply to requests for radiological examinations to make informed decisions regarding patient care, examination processes and appointment conflicts etc. Over time use experience gained in radiological examination procedures, departmental operational procedures and various computer systems to deal with non routine activities/queries problem solving where necessary
