At Gregory Distribution, we are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Compliance Controller in our busy Depot in Cullompton.

The position involves:

To liaise directly with team members to ensure business defect processes are being followed and implemented correctly. Use of internal systems for data management and reporting. Ensure all transport compliance processes are being followed and process guides are updated. Planning vehicle servicing and repair schedules by liaising with both internal and external maintenance providers. Monitor & update internal vehicle & driver compliance systems across a range of customer contracts. Working alongside the transport team to ensure operational compliance requirements are met on a daily basis Develop action plans in collaboration with the operational teams and ensure timely closure of identified issues. Identification of internal policies and procedures that require updating to reflect changing legislative frameworks. Provide a frontline for data requests and compliance queries from internally and in some cases outside authorities or external auditors. Produce and maintain comprehensive KPI and reports related to the contract’s operational compliance. Provide driver training reports to support in arranging training and maintenance booking requirements. Liaise with the vehicle asset yearly planner, reports for vehicle servicing requirements such us MOT’s, loaded brake tests, weight test & LOLER etc. Oversee compliance and Health & Safety issues, ensuring all standards are met. Manage customer relations and handle a wide range of associated administrative duties. Provide timely and professional responses to all queries via email, phone, and face-to-face interactions. Conduct driver licence checks using TruLicence.

Essential Skills required:

Experience of working in a similar role, you should have a good working knowledge of traffic management systems. Experience withing Compliance based role. Understanding of DVSA operator licencing procedures. Ability to communicate at all levels. Strong geographical knowledge of the local area. Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload. Attention to detail. Working to deadlines. Solution driven and Flexible approach to your work. Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative. MS packages to include, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
