We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Advisor to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a key member of our Fleet Services department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet of vehicles and trailers.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the scheduling of maintenance and repairs in line with operational requirements, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Process invoices and purchase orders, allocating costs to the business and resolving any queries or discrepancies.
- Provide technical assistance and support to drivers and operators, minimizing vehicle downtime and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.
- Liaise with suppliers to negotiate the best possible prices for maintenance and repairs, while maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate and monitor roadside breakdowns, including refrigeration, tires, and other ancillary equipment.
- Provide expert advice and guidance to drivers and operators on maintenance solutions, aiming to minimize vehicle downtime and optimize fleet performance.
- Collaborate with other team members to provide technical support and ensure the smooth operation of our fleet.
- Proven experience in HGV vehicle maintenance and repairs.
- Strong supplier management and cost control skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- Passion for providing excellent customer service and a strong team player.
- Proficiency in MS Office packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- A competitive salary range of £30,000pa - £33,990pa, based on experience.
