About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fleet Manager to join our team at Gregory Distribution. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading our fleet maintenance and logistics operations, ensuring that our vehicles are safely and efficiently maintained, and that our customers receive the highest level of service.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of maintenance personnel and logistics coordinators to ensure that our fleet is properly maintained and that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with our quality and safety standards.
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce maintenance costs and improve fleet efficiency, while ensuring that our vehicles are always roadworthy and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Manage our relationships with external suppliers and contractors, ensuring that we receive the best possible service and value for money.
- Collaborate with our operations team to ensure that our logistics operations are running smoothly and efficiently, and that our customers receive the highest level of service.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to fleet maintenance and logistics operations, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Develop and implement processes and procedures to ensure that our fleet is properly maintained and that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with our quality and safety standards.
- Ensure that our fleet is compliant with all relevant regulatory requirements, including those related to vehicle safety and emissions.
- Manage our budget for fleet maintenance and logistics operations, ensuring that we stay within budget and that our costs are optimized.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve our fleet's environmental sustainability, including reducing our carbon footprint and improving our fuel efficiency.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the transportation or logistics industry.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
- Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance and logistics operations, including regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
- Ability to develop and implement processes and procedures to improve fleet efficiency and reduce costs.
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills, with the ability to manage a budget and make informed financial decisions.
