Booth House is a Salvation Army Lifehouse and has 50 en-suite rooms accommodating men and women over the age of 18 who are experiencing homelessness. Our two Social Enterprises of The Sandwich People and Recycles are looking for an experienced Programme Manager to join their in-house team.

As a motivated and dynamic Programme Manager you will be responsible for developing and delivering a high-quality service to our Social Enterprise customers. Many of the people supporting you in delivering the service may have additional needs, including mental health related issues or drug and alcohol dependency. We are looking for a Programme Manager that can deliver a service to the members of the public and also support our residents to get involved in supporting this service and become volunteers.

You will need to be passionate about supporting people to make positive change in their lives, be confident working on your own and as part of a team, working with a range of different agencies including professional visitors and the public and understand the needs of your volunteers who are homeless. The role involves regular daytime working but will include on-call which may involve covering evenings or weekends in the centre in an emergency. A driving licence is essential for this post. All applicants will need to be in sympathy with the mission statement of The Salvation Army. 

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:  

 Good communication and IT skills  Experience of working within the homelessness sector  Experience of retail, catering or cycling background  An ability to meet our core values of Integrity, Accountability, Respect, Passion, Boldness and Compassion
