We are thrilled to announce a captivating opportunity for a warm-hearted and empathetic individual to join our esteemed team as a SEN Teaching Assistant at a cutting-edge school in New Ash Green. As part of our dynamic and energetic group, you will inspire the growth and progress of young students with additional needs. While prior experience supporting SEN children is desirable, we welcome aspiring individuals seeking a chance to make a difference.
This role is ideal for those who genuinely have a passion for helping children, particularly with learning difficulties, and a fantastic opportunity for those considering a career in Teaching to gain valuable first-hand experience. Due to the complex needs of the pupils, the role includes supporting personal care and the medical needs of pupils including administering medication, undertaking moving, handling procedures, and supporting pupils who may be displaying physically challenging behaviour. The role also involves supporting pupils during physical activities such as swimming, PE and physical outdoor activities such as Forest School, community visits and work experience.

The main aim of this role is to support teachers to deliver academic excellence, day in, day out, with professionalism and enthusiasm.

In this rewarding role as a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide tailored support to pupils with Autism ASD, ADHD and other SEN
• Foster a stimulating learning environment, motivating all students to unlock their full potential
• Collaborate with teachers to manage classroom behaviour effectively
• Champion the progress and development of every student under your care
• work with pupils aged 3 - 19 years old

To be considered for role of Teaching Assistant, you must:
• Hold the right to work in the UK
• Drive and have access to a car
• Meet stringent safer recruitment background checks
• Possess or be willing to obtain a Child Enhanced DBS certificate
• Demonstrate unwavering commitment to safeguarding
• Exhibit adaptability, enthusiasm, and a genuine passion for working with young individuals from diverse backgrounds
