Job Title: Special Education Needs Teacher

Job Type: Full-time, Long-term

Location: North London

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Special Education Needs (SEN) Teacher to join our team at a special educational needs school in North London. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality education and support to students with severe learning difficulties (SLD) and profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), including children with autistic spectrum disorder (ASD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the needs of students with complex learning difficulties
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to students to promote confidence and independence
  • Implement behavior management techniques to maintain a positive and safe learning environment
  • Collaborate with specialist teaching services, medical staff, counselors, and psychologists to ensure comprehensive support for students
  • Ensure adherence to safeguarding policies and procedures to guarantee the safety and well-being of students

Requirements:

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Early Career Teacher (ECT) with relevant experience or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or overseas trained teacher awaiting QTS
  • Clear and up-to-date DBS
  • Experience working with young people with ASD
  • Patient, caring attitude with the ability to remain calm and supportive under pressure
