Job Title: SEN Teacher for ASD and SLD Class

Job Description:

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced SEN Teacher to join our team at a large special needs school in Westminster, London. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of working with ASD and SLD children and will be passionate about delivering the Early Years curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach a mixed KS2 class with Autism and SLD
  • Develop social and communication skills in pupils
  • Work closely with two learning support assistants to provide a supportive learning environment
  • Use PECS and Makaton to support pupil communication
  • Collaborate with the school's SEN team to provide a comprehensive support package for pupils

Requirements:

  • Experience working with ASD and SLD children
  • Proven track record of delivering the Early Years curriculum
  • Ability to use own initiative and work independently
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for SEN and commitment to providing a supportive learning environment
