We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Special Educational Needs Support Assistants. This role is ideal for those looking to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children and young adults with diverse educational needs.
About the RoleOur educational institutions cater to children and young individuals aged 5-19 who present a range of special educational needs, including but not limited to:
- Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties
- Emotional and Behavioral Challenges
- Severe Learning Difficulties
- Speech and Language Communication Needs
The ideal candidate will possess experience in care support, with a focus on personal care, feeding, and safe handling practices being advantageous.
Key Responsibilities- Support students in their educational and personal development.
- Assist with personal care tasks as required.
- Utilize excellent interpersonal skills to foster effective communication.
- Maintain a valid DBS registration or be prepared to apply for a new one.
- Access to a dedicated consultant with extensive experience.
- Competitive remuneration based on experience.
- Term-time only positions available.
- Streamlined clearance process, primarily conducted online.
- Complimentary SEND workshops and Team Teach training.
- Experience supporting children or young adults with learning difficulties or disabilities is preferred.
- Training in moving and handling is beneficial.
- Background in care support is essential.
