Special Education Needs Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced and qualified SENCO to join our team at Horizon Teachers. As a SENCO, you will play a crucial role in determining the strategic development of SEND policy and provision in our school.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure that Academy practice is compliant with the SEND Code of Practice
- Work with the Leadership team to promote an ethos of Inclusion within the Academy and a culture of high aspirations for students with SEND
- Track the progress of students with SEND, using data relating to progress, attainment, referrals, exclusions, and attendance to identify barriers to learning
- Must have worked as a SENCo or an Assistant SENCo
- Evidence of successful teaching experience and pastoral support
- Knowledge and understanding of national priorities, current curriculum development, and an ability to design and implement an innovative curriculum based on students' needs
- Knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice
